DUNES Symposium 2011 Call For Abstracts
Dear Colleagues,
We will be holding the 3rd annual DUNES Symposium on Friday, 7th of October 2011. So please save the date and start preparing your abstracts!
Once again, the symposium is open to all members of the research community below the faculty level (Post-Docs, Research Fellows, PhD students, Research Associates and Research Assistants) at Duke-NUS, NUS, Outram Campus (including National Cancer Centre and other SingHealth Institutions), A*STAR, NTU, and Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory. The aim of this symposium is to provide a platform for all pre-PI researchers to showcase their research, share ideas with other colleagues and learn about potential career development opportunities. The symposium is sponsored by the Office of Research at Duke-NUS.
We invite you to submit an abstract through our online submission system here. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the DUNES committee and selected for either oral or poster presentations. The deadline for abstract submission is September 7th 2011. Individuals selected for either oral or poster presentation will be notified by September 16th 2011.
Please Note: A downloadable registration form is available (link here) and should include the title of your presentation, the full list of authors and their institutions. The completed form should be signed by your PI or HOD and emailed to DUNES. Please note that abstracts will not be accepted without a completed registration form.
All abstracts will be printed in the DUNES 2011 Symposium abstract book that will be available to all attendees.
Abstract Format Guidelines:
• The abstract should not be more than 250 words.
• The abstract should be structured into the following headings: Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
• Please indicate presenter’s name, names of all authors, affiliations of authors and the research program you are under (these will not be included in the word count)
The symposium will be a full day event with lunch and tea breaks. This year we are repeating the photo competition and there will be oral and poster presentation awards so check out our web for further details (www.dunes.sg)!
We look forward to your participation in the symposium. Any further queries can be sent to dunes@duke-nus.edu.sg.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
DUNES (DUKE-NUS Early Career Scientists Association) Committee
